According to experts, you should divide your current weight by half in order to know how many ounces of water you should consume. For example, your current weight is 100 pounds, if you divide it by 2, it is equivalent to 50. It means, you need to drink 50 ounces of water per day. That is the least and you might need to drink more based on the kind of activities you do. For instance, you exercised and lost a lot of water through sweat, you need to add at least 15 ounces.

On the other hand, they also advise that drinking a glass of water upon waking up and before going to bed has great effect to your health in total. Remember that the body is made up mostly of water, so we really cannot get away from keeping our body hydrated or we'll regret it.
