FASTER INTERNET: $2B Investment Plan for a Faster Internet in the Philippines? Amazing!

Some of us are complaining and eventually dismayed with regards to slow internet connection in the Philippines. There are upgrades available to boost the internet depending on the needs of the customer, however, not all afford to avail these services.

Because of this issue, there are hearsays that there are foreign investors who wants to invest for a faster internet connection.

But the hearsays may end up with this. Confirmed by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), there is a Mexican firm that is looking to invest $2 billion worth of business in the Philippines. It has been said that the focus of the project is on telecommunications.

In a meeting joined by DTI Secretary and Ambassador of Mexico in the Phillipines, they discussed about the establishment of the Joint Economic Committee (JEC) that will strengthen the bilateral trade of the two countries.

Compared to other Asian countries, Mexico has invested more in the Philippines, according to the ambassador. Two of these are Cemex, a multinational company of building materials and Coca-Cola Femsa, the leading bottler company.

Good news right? So this may be the answer to most of us who are dependent on using the internet. :)
