China to PH: No more travel ban!

BEIJING, China - As part of the agreements signed by China and the Philippines, Chinese President Xi Jinping declared the lifting of the travel ban against the Philippines. It was formally announced to the media by Lui Zhien Min, Vice Foreign Minister, in a press conference last October 20, 2016.

Lui faced the journalists to spread the news right after President Duterte and President Xi led the signing of 13 bilateral agreements between the involved nations.

China lifts travel advisories against PHL |
According to Lui, “President Xi Jinping has announced that China lifted the travel advices issued a few years ago to Chinese citizens traveling to the Philippines.” He also said that because the travel restriction has already ended, it will “encourage more Chinese citizens to travel in the Philippines." Based on records, there were 500,000 Chinese travelled to the Philippines in 2015. As Duterte visits China this year, the Chinese special envoy to the Philippines, Zhao Jinhua, mentioned that both countries are expecting the Chinese arrivals in the Philippines to increase up to 100 million by 2017.

Well, it must be a reasonable number because in the past 3 years, China has set the record on the biggest outbound international tourist. In addition to that, the Philippines has the most beautiful places to visit and irresistible scenes to enjoy. We are just hoping that these brilliant agreements between China and the Phillipines will not turn into unfavorable wishes in the future.
