A Battery Which Can Be Charged and Able to Last for 400 Years was Incidentally Invented By a Student!

Because of the fast-paced trend of our lifestyle, people are always on the go. Technology becomes a need over being a luxury. Aside from our brain, gadgets and objects that we use must also be smart and long-lasting. Well, low battery will soon be erased in our vocabulary.

A doctorate student from University of California named Mya Le Thai incidentally invented an amazing battery which can last up to a whopping 400 hundred years. It happened in the midst of other student researchers testing nano wires in batteries. The result failed and Thai had this idea of using manganese dioxide and electrolyte get to cover the gold nano wires.

According to the chairman of the University Chemistry Department, Reginald Penner: "She started to cycle the gel capacitors, and that's when we got the surprise. She said, 'this thing has been cycling 10,000 times and it's still going.' She came back later and said it's been cycling for 30,000 cycles. That kept going for a month."

This battery underwent 200,000 charging cycles, but only 5% of it was used up. So, experts say that if it can last up to 400 years if used in a laptop. This is a very brilliant innovation in the technology. Human can certainly benefit from it, moreover, the environment.
